We've posted before about a little three legged raccoon that showed up to visit one day. We named him Tripod... Well, today, five of his friends/relatives came to visit. We were sorry to see that he wasn't among them but it was very exciting to see FIVE crawl out of our back bushes. They are so terribly cute and fun to watch. However, if worse comes to worse with the economy, we may end up eating 'coon stew and wearing 'coon skin caps this winter!
I'm not thrilled about this video as I make a brief but beautiful appearance near the end... thanks Joe (videographer)!
Enjoy and have a great day -

Exchange Students
It's been a while since I left a post so I thought I'd show you all some pictures of my exchange students. I had a group of 12 that I was in charge of for 2 1/2 weeks and then a week before they left we got another boy who will be with us until August 22.
Our older student, Kouichiro is from Hiroshima and our younger student, Naoyasu (yasu for short) is from Okinawa.
Look at Joe and Jordan, don't they look like twins?
We took a walk around town on the hottest day ever! I thought I would die of heat stroke... next time I will take umbrellas like the Japanese girls to keep the sun off...
Kouichiro and the boys hiked around little mountain. I think they wore him out. Most of the time he didn't act 36 but sometimes I could tell he was tired from trying to keep up with them!
We took the three boys to the lake one day. It was not warm enough for them and they got out of the water quick! I guess it's warmer in Japan...
And here they are all dressed up for the farewell party. What a great time we had at the party. They were so funny and energetic! Not like the sad farewell parties we've been to in the past...
Hope you all are having a great summer!

Dance Joe Dance!
This is just a little clip from the boys musical that they did last month. It was really cute! Joe and Jordan both had parts, Culley managed the back stage crew and Caleb ran the lights. It was a lot of fun!
This is only dress rehearsal, in the show, Joe wore a costume like the other boy dancing with him.
Enjoy and have a great day!

Where is Spring??
We've sure had some interesting weather here this April. What's the saying, "April showers bring May flowers" ?? What do April snows bring? I guess we'll wait and see! Here are a few pictures of what we woke up to last Sunday (the 20th). Joe and Jordan were the only ones really interested in playing in it. Culley went out for a short while. It was gone by mid afternoon though.
Joe and Jordan made a little "fort". It lasted until Monday. Then they had to destroy it so it would melt and daddy could mow the lawn!

Yep, he got his hair cut
Wahoo, Culley DID get a hair cut - he's not crazy about it but I like seeing BOTH his eyes. He also got glasses that he's not crazy about but he loves being able to see now! It was really fun when we picked up his glasses and he kept looking around saying "wow".
What a great kid. I went Costco shopping yesterday and came home to a delicious dinner he had cooked. Pasta Carbonara - DELISH!
We also had a fun week week with our Japanese daughter, Manami and her friend Shizuka. Libby had a great time with her Japanese sisters! They also cooked us a delicious dinner of Miso soup and Yakisoba.
Last but not least, I'll leave you with a little video clip of Joe rehearsing his musical. It is next week at the Lincoln Theater. Jordan is in it too but I didn't get a clip of him. I'll post some more clips after the dress rehearsal next week.

This is for Ethan
Ethan, we hear that you would like your big brother to get his hair cut. What do you think of Culley? Should he get a hair cut too? Okay, it is long but usually doesn't look quite this bad. He's got some pretty serious bed head going on here.
And guess what Ethan? Culley IS getting his hair cut!! (Maybe that will influence Pay??)
Have a great day knuckle head!

Happy Valentines day!
Happy Valentines day! We had a cute visitor today to say Happy 21st Birthday to Brittney. A very cute 3 legged raccoon we named TriPod. He seems to want to make our back yard his new home... Can we keep him as a pet? Mr. D says no... Caleb says we can just feed him our trash. Hmmm
Hope you all have a great day!

Snow day!
hows it going? well its going really good here. as you can see it just snowed here today and we obviously were playing in. it was loads of fun. me, Joe and Jordan built a snowman 'Wilbur' and we all wanted to make the bottom cause its the biggest part and when we all got done rolling our snowballs they were pretty much the same size so we had to do a little bit of ice sculpting once we got it put together. so that explains how misshapen and huge the head is compared to the rest of the body. if you look closely you can see that we made the hands doing the 'rock on' sign and the "peace" sign (i thought those up) well i got to go do some important gaming so bye
